The annual Braidwood Airing of the Quilts returns to Braidwood over two days for a celebration of quilting, craft and the historical village of Braidwood.
Quilts from all genres will be hung from the historic town’s 19th-century verandahs on both days, along with a two-day Exhibition and Quilt Competition hosted by the Braidwood Quilters which will be held in the National Theatre on Wallace Street.
The indoor quilt competition will see approximately 85 quilts of varying styles, while the outdoor display will showcase quilts both upstairs and downstairs of the heritage buildings on the main street.
The Braidwood Quilt Store will be running its annual Airing of the Quilts Challenge, encouraging people to create an imaginative apron in a medium of their choosing, to be exhibited during the festival.
The festival will also feature markets again in the beautiful Ryrie Park, festive cakes and puddings as well as the launch of Braidwood Garlic 2024.
You’ll also find arts and crafts displays and sales in a number of the shops along the main street, such as fYREGALLERY, V&M, Gallery 103, Braidwood Clayworks and Born Vintage, as well as The Braidwood Quilt Store which has a curated collection of over 3,000 quilting fabrics on offer.
